Life in Gwinnett

Many of my readers know I moved to Georgia almost 2 years ago. I live in Gwinnett county which is a mix of city and county. I am a foodie and I am always looking for a great place to eat. Customer service is always important to me. I’ve tried out many places around my area. One of the place I went to is called Wayback burgers. Being from New York, I never heard of this place so I was intrigued to try it. This place was one of those that I not only enjoyed food wise but, the customer service was amazing.

Wayback Burgers is located at 1030 Old Peachtree Rd NW, Lawrenceville, GA 30043

The OWNER and person who served me is named Wayman. He was amazing, nice and really active. It’s rare to see the owner actually working, it was refreshing

I went for a casual look with this denim jacket, jeans and open toe booties on my visit.I decided to get the double bacon and French fries. It was DELICIOUS! I also decided to get a strawberry banana milk shake which was amazingly good. They serves a variety of things, it was so hard for me to choose! If you’re ever in the area stop by this establishment, tell them Myisha sent you!

Happy 4th of July.

Today all I want to do is eat some ribs and chicken. I know that there have been a lot of suffering for black ppl but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a day of eating and being with friends and family.

I’m American and while I know that I’m not very proud of this country right now I celebrate its independence by eating and being with friends and family. Any reason to do these 2 things I am here for. Lol. Happy 4th of July everyone.

For my outfit I wanted to be relaxed and comfy (needed to make sure I would be fine after eating. Lol) but still stylish and to not break the bank.

High Waisted!

I have a love hate relationship with high waist jeans. It’s hit or miss sometimes.  These jeans right here from Shoedazzle are amazing! Unfortunately they no longer have them but they do have ones similar. I paired them with These yellow heels from @justfab.com and they paired perfect.

I purchased this grey onsie while I was in Cali last year, I wore it for the first time… Here is a similar one. As for my jacket it is one of my favorite and was apart of my boutique about 2 years ago.

Some days you wake up, throw on some makeup, toss your hair, put on some clothing, look in the mirror and completely love yourself… this was one of those days for me. Everything seem to have fallen into place just how I wanted it.

Vintage Jacket and Paper Bag Pants

As I was looking through one of my coat closets I came upon a Jacket I purchased from a vintage thrift store but never wore ( this happens more times then I like). I took the jacket out and started thinking about what I could pair it with. I then went into my regular closet and found a pair of pants I haven’t worn un a while and figured I would pair it with the jacket.

On this day My hair was acting crazy, so i threw it in my definition of a side ponytail. My allergies to make a guest apperence but the show must go on. I paired the jacket and pants with a tee I’ve worn many times before and a pair of my new favorite pumps. Image13

Denim And Boots

The best thing about denim is that it can be worn all year long. Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. It is one of those materials that transcends through time. I don’t think I will every get tired of denim. The last time I wore this particular denim piece I wore it as a top. On this day I wanted to show some legs and rock these high lace up boots.

Mom and Fashion

Last week my son came home to visit for spring break. His last break we did not get to spend much time together, but this time around we made sure to pick a day to hang out. Being a mom of a young man picking out what you wear can be stressful. While I enjoy fashion I didn’t want to over do it, but I also wanted to be comfortable. Of course before leaving the house I had to get his stamp of approval. He didn’t like my shirt but gave me the OK. Our day out was enjoyable. We went see the movie Race ( it was amazing I suggest everyone go see it), after the movie we went to catch a bite to each. At this moment we caught up on what was going on in both of our lives.

Stairway To Fashion

Sometimes a woman wants to just throw on a dress, put on some makeup, fix up her hair and feel that extra dose of sexy. This dress defiantly helped me feel extra sexy. I feared wearing this dress at first because of the deep V in front of the dress, but once I tried it on I was in love. This little black dress is not for the faint of hearts. you have to be bold and daring to rock this. While this dress is revealing it is comfortable to wear and flattering on many body types.

Fringe Is In

Brunch is such the norm. Going to brunch on a Saturday or Sunday has become one of my favorite things to do. This day I had 10 minutes to get dressed. I had no idea what I was going to wear so within those 10 minutes I had to figure that out as well. My way of doing things specifically when I am in a rush is to work around my shoes. Once I picked out the shoes I was going to wear the rest came Easy. On a beautiful day in New York, I decided to throw on a thrifted sweater and a faux leather fringe skirt.

A Fall to Remember

I don’t know about you guys and gals but I am LOVING this weather. While I am a native New Yorker I HATE the cold. I despise the snow and while layering up is absolutely amazing, bundling up is annoying and uncomfortable. So while the weather continues to be beautiful this fall I am going to enjoy it.

I have come to the conclusion that I like this color… Taupe.

I never noticed how many pices of clothing I had in this color until I started to photograph myself in them. I think its quite a compliment to brown skin girls…
