Summer is all about keeping cool. DRESS for the occassion!

I have this obsession with dresses. I always feel super sexy in one, no matter the style. I’ve always loved dresses. They have been a staple of my wardrobe for years. I think the best thing about dresses is that it is one piece. So easy and simply, find the right shoes and you’re good to go. In the summer it is essential for me to find the easiest things to throw on. My patience with this heat is thin, lol.  The best thing about a dress is the ease of it.

Recently I added these two beauties to the list. They are of similar style but different flair. This white dress with the black and white off the shoulder look is so comfortable. I love how easy flowing this dress is. This dress will be in my top 5 dresses for the summer. It is fun, cute and easy to style. you can find it at Amiclubwear.com.

The shoes can be found at Justfab.com

A similar bag from the same seller can be found Lovecortnie.com Now… the style of these dresses aren’t my everyday go to . So I was a bit nervous, but if you read my last post you will see that, I wanted to take a chance on my fashion this summer. I have been really boring with my fashion choices and I wanted to get back to the old me, The girl that went outside the box a bit. I enjoyed this dress a lot, it has a lot of layers. It is off the shoulder ( of course) , but it also is Asymmetrical on the bottom and is lace. This dress is the perfect LBD it can be found Amiclubwear.com

similar shoes can be found at Shoedazzle.com

The bag can be found http://lovecortnie.com/clutches/

The off the shoulder look is something I rocked years ago but wasn’t quite sure if I could work it now. I paired both of these dresses with bright shoes to accent the style. I must say I was quite happy with the end result.

Fashion Trends?

Fashion is something that’s always revolving and evolving. Seeing trends from the past now being what’s “in” is always pretty nice, especially if you still have items from that time.

Personal style is one of those things that can be a hit with certain people and a miss with others. My personal style is all over the place. In general… I like what I like. One day I can rock a look that is 50’s inspired the next I will rock a pair one distressed jeans (something I’ve been rocking for yearsssss) and a tee for me, my person style has no definition or description.

As I get older, I notice that I’ve become a little “safer” with my choices. This is a big jump from my looks years ago. I felt like I was becoming slightly boring in my style choices. So, I recently decided to take a chance… I wore something that I don’t usually wear but I liked and was excited to try out.

Wearing this low V neck jumper suit was a HUGE chance for me. I was nervous because I am a legs girl. Not only that, but i have recently gained a few pounds and this jumpsuit left almost nothing to the imagination, lol. I of course used double sided tape. I got this in a medium and it fit perfect!

Life in Gwinnett

Many of my readers know I moved to Georgia almost 2 years ago. I live in Gwinnett county which is a mix of city and county. I am a foodie and I am always looking for a great place to eat. Customer service is always important to me. I’ve tried out many places around my area. One of the place I went to is called Wayback burgers. Being from New York, I never heard of this place so I was intrigued to try it. This place was one of those that I not only enjoyed food wise but, the customer service was amazing.

Wayback Burgers is located at 1030 Old Peachtree Rd NW, Lawrenceville, GA 30043

The OWNER and person who served me is named Wayman. He was amazing, nice and really active. It’s rare to see the owner actually working, it was refreshing

I went for a casual look with this denim jacket, jeans and open toe booties on my visit.I decided to get the double bacon and French fries. It was DELICIOUS! I also decided to get a strawberry banana milk shake which was amazingly good. They serves a variety of things, it was so hard for me to choose! If you’re ever in the area stop by this establishment, tell them Myisha sent you!

Leather and/or fur

Hey everyone, so i am back with another collaboration. I love collaborations because they are fun and they allow you to see other peoples interpretations of the theme. For this collaboration we decided on leather and/ or fur. it s the perfect collaboration for winter. Winter can be so devastating on fashion. Sometimes people are un inspired because the weather can be stifling and draining. Dressing up can change your feelings even if the weather still sucks!

You could choose to style leather, fur or both. I am extra ( lol) so i decided to stye both. Here are the looks that we came up with.

Sara (Her IG) did her thing with this beautiful fur vest and leather pants. I love the red it makes everything POP.

Robin (Her IG)looks cute as usual with her fur jacket!

Carryn (Her IG) looks adorable with her leather skirt and fur vest.

Steph ( Her IG is killing it with this look. I am loving her fur jack and leather pants.

Monica is ROCKING those leather pants. I love this look.

And then there is me. I actually threw this look together at the last minute when i was shooting a few look. My son took this oic and I love it!

The Struggles Of Blogging

This post may have some sponsored links, but all opinions are that of my own.If you’re like me and you have a demanding job ( preschool Teacher), blogging often takes a back seat. With the ever so demanding world of blogging/vlogging it can get discouraging. It has taken me quite a while to take my blogging seriously. A part of me is happy for slowly dipping my toes in one by one before jumping in.

I have been going through a lot in life and blogging/vlogging had been my outfit. It has been therapeutic. My love for fashion and education has been revived and having an outlet to share it has been great. I have finally figured out some sort of schedule ( i think, lol) and finally found a consistent photographer ( i hope, lol), which means i don’t have to take my own pics anymore.

I absolutely give it to those people who blog/vlog daily or on a very consistent basis. One day i have hopes one getting there. For those who think blogging/vlogging is easy… you’re absolutely WRONG! I have taken series of photos and when it was all said and done, after all the hard work none were suitable, either my face was off, my body was off, the light was off, something was off. Ive taken a but of pics and a shot videos to fine my SD won’t read… It has been frustrating but that’s a part of life.I still have more work to to and more material to get to continue to improve, but slow and steady progress.

Olive Fashion

I have come to the conclusion that I am OBSESSED with Olive for the fall. One day I was looking in my closet and I came upon a bunch of olive items. It was not only my clothing but shoes as well. After seeing this i decided to do a series on my love for olive. I picked FIVE yes five looks that I loved and will be blogging about them. All these looks are super inexpensive and easy to put together (even with other colors). I start this series off  With this sweater dress.

This item can be worn as a dress or a sweater. I paired it with some pattern stocking and black sorts ( underneath). I added some lace up boots to bring this look together. This look can be easily done with an over sized sweater, some leggings and tall boots.

To add some of my on personal style i threw on this leopard belt and an off color ( off being that it doesn’t “match”) purse. This is one of my favorite comfortable fall looks.

Fall Collaboration

Fall is here , What better way to celebrate my favorite season than to do it with fashion. I’ve teamed up with a few ladies to showcase our similar and different ways of being fashionable for the fall. Fall for me is all about layers, I love layers, you can build up and break it down as  the day goes on.

The thing I love about fashion is that we can interpret it in the way we think, feel and enjoy. I am far from an artist, but  fashion is my way of showing my artistic eye.Sometimes I enjoy the basics and sometimes I can be a bit over the top. I also love that people are at time brought together by the things they they love and enjoy.

Here are the ladies, their handles and their blogs.

Virgo Season

As some of you know my birthday was last week. This year was a bit different, since I was in a new state and the weather was not favorable.  With that being said I still did what I could to celebrate. Birthdays are important to me. It’s another year with memories, trials and tribulations, lessons and achievements. Getting older is a blessing to me.I get to continue to live life and learn from the many things and people I experience.

Of course fashion is a big deal for my birthday. It seems the older I get the harder it is for me to pick out a great birthday outfit. This year I didn’t have any WHOA pieces but I liked my all over looks.  Here they are.I hate that I didn’t get a full picture of my casual look on the Friday prior to my bday but I loved my head wrap.Sunday I went super casual with some distressed jeans from Justfab, They have a great selection of jeans that fit amazing. I paired it with my team’s sweat shirt and denim pumps from Shoedazzle. On my actual birthday  ( Tuesday) I wore this blue dress from Fashion Nova, I will say if you have thighs size up.The Friday after my Birthday I decided to throw on this  Velvet number from ShoedazzleOn my final bday outing  on Saturday, I wore this super sexy dress with a high spilt from Fashion nova and booties from Justfab.

My latest appreciation for flats.

Many that know me know how much I live in heels. For a while one could not find me outside of the house in flats. As I’ve gotten older and more practical (lol) I realize that flats are a must in some instances.

I often though flats were ugly and did nothing for an outfit, but as I’ve begun my search of finding flats that suit me, I realized that my thinking was flawed. I began to find some flats that were not only cute but that fit my personal style.

Don’t get me wrong I am still a heels type of girl but instead of wearing heels 99% of the time, I wear them more like 89% of the time. Lol

Here’s a look I wore styles with flat sandals.

.

I paired my sandals with one of my $5 finds from none only than dollar general.

I purchased these cute blue flats from Here. Justfab and Shoedazzle are my go to places for most of my shoes.

Happy 4th of July.

Today all I want to do is eat some ribs and chicken. I know that there have been a lot of suffering for black ppl but that doesn’t mean I can’t enjoy a day of eating and being with friends and family.

I’m American and while I know that I’m not very proud of this country right now I celebrate its independence by eating and being with friends and family. Any reason to do these 2 things I am here for. Lol. Happy 4th of July everyone.

For my outfit I wanted to be relaxed and comfy (needed to make sure I would be fine after eating. Lol) but still stylish and to not break the bank.
