My trip to San Francisco and Okland Part 1

My view from the sky.On Christmas Day I had the pleasure of attending the Warrior game. It was an amazing experience. Thanks to Omaze and Draymond Green’s Charity Rise. Good things defiantly come to those who donate. Please look up these two foundations and donate today.

I landed in San Fransisco on Christmas eve, My friend and I were then picked up by a provided car and driver, and taken to our amazing hotel. We stayed at The Claremont Hotel and Spa.This hotel is Magnificent. The receptionists were all very sweet and friendly and they even have a hotel dog named Edi  ( that i called Eddie about 4 times. lol). This hotel is beeyy Pet Friendly and has so many amazing Amenities. Our hotel room was super cute but the bathroom was the best part.

After getting comfy in our room we decided to step out for a bite to eat. Both of us being from New York ( I currently reside in Georgia), we didn’t think that finding something to eat would be a problem, but BOY was it a problem. It was Christmas Eve and everything was closed. Being from the city that never sleeps this was crazy and annoying for us. We were hungry and honestly after the first hour and first Lyft it didn’t matter what it was we found to eat, as long as it was food .  We finally found an open Chinese restaurant. I am very particular about Chinese food but at that point it didn’t matter. I ordered the safest thing ( wings) and took a Lyft to the nearest Chevron gas station to get snacks.

After getting every thing we headed back to the hotel. The wings were the worst wings I ever had , but it was, eat those or suck on air. So my advice to anyone who wants to visit San Francisco is… Don’t go during Christmas. As Beautiful as it is there is absolutely nothing to do.

‘Tis The season.

The season is upon us, to get all dressed up and go to parties, Christmas parties and New Year parties. This is also the season where We try to find the perfect outfit.

This year i decided to ditch the stress of finding the perfect affordable look and just went to shop my closet. I found some perfect looks. I received this faux fur vest from Justfab, and decided to base all of my looks around it. It gives that fun yet classy look for holiday parties.

My first look Is this wide leg one piece pants ( from Justfab) look. You can’t go wrong with a jumper. I threw on this vest i got from Justfab. To give it a little pop I threw on some Metallic shoes. I love this combination because you can wear this straight from the office to your job’s Christmas/Holiday party. At the office throw on a blazer and some black pumps, and change it out t the faux fur vest and “pop” shoe.

For my next look, I took this velvet dress  ( from Shoedazzle)that I wore for my birthday and paired it with the vest. Velvet is always in for the holiday season so you can’t go wrong. Since the velvet dress and the vest are close in this pale color I wanted to bring some fun to it so i added  these booties. For the final look ( and my favorite) I took this sexy dress from Fashion Nova( its sold out), that i also wore for my birthday and paired them with these velvet shoes,  from Justfab. I have had these shoes for about a year and never wore them. This is a fun yet simple look.Disclaimer: some of these items were sent to me to wear but all opinions are those of my own.

They are currently having a big clothing sale so head over and use my code Here . I also got boots from JustFab also.

The great thing about this color is although fall is coming to a near it can easily transition it to the winter months.

Animal print

Ok. I must admit, I consider leopard a color, and one of my favorite colors. Lol the amount of leopard I have should be illegal. I absolutely love it.

I have shoes, shirts, pants (yes pants), scarfs, you name it. I’ve heard that it was tacky (think of Peggy Bundy), but it’s my kind of tacky, Lol . If I am to be completely honest I love all types of animal print but leopard is on the top of my list.

So what better than to get together with other women to show our love for animal print. Now I know you’re asking… why animal print if you’re all wearing the same print… Well Great minds think alike… That’s all I can say.

The Struggles Of Blogging

This post may have some sponsored links, but all opinions are that of my own.If you’re like me and you have a demanding job ( preschool Teacher), blogging often takes a back seat. With the ever so demanding world of blogging/vlogging it can get discouraging. It has taken me quite a while to take my blogging seriously. A part of me is happy for slowly dipping my toes in one by one before jumping in.

I have been going through a lot in life and blogging/vlogging had been my outfit. It has been therapeutic. My love for fashion and education has been revived and having an outlet to share it has been great. I have finally figured out some sort of schedule ( i think, lol) and finally found a consistent photographer ( i hope, lol), which means i don’t have to take my own pics anymore.

I absolutely give it to those people who blog/vlog daily or on a very consistent basis. One day i have hopes one getting there. For those who think blogging/vlogging is easy… you’re absolutely WRONG! I have taken series of photos and when it was all said and done, after all the hard work none were suitable, either my face was off, my body was off, the light was off, something was off. Ive taken a but of pics and a shot videos to fine my SD won’t read… It has been frustrating but that’s a part of life.I still have more work to to and more material to get to continue to improve, but slow and steady progress.

Take a chance

My love for fashion is deeper than the simple items put together. As I’ve mentioned before in previous post, fashion is an art from. It’s a way to express yourself without saying a word.

Generally speaking I’m very shy. People tend to mix that up for me being mean, standoff is or stuck up. I am none of the above. It’s rare that I will start a conversation (although in my older years I have done so more and more).

My awkward shyness has often been a down fall. Even when my business was up and running and I would get complimented on things that could be found in my boutique I wouldn’t self promote. While my business was doing well it could have been doing much better (I closed due to my move and will be reopening very soon).

My bold statements usually comes in the form of fashion. Fashion speaks for me. It gives me a voice. I take time to carefully think about what I want to put together. No thought goes into what others will think as I am picking it out, but after I wonder how ppl will take it in. Most times it’s hit but I have had my misses.

This is one of my favorite looks, it’s bold, it’s daring, it’s me. When I put this look on I laughed think. People are going to think I’m crazy. Black girl, white thigh highs??? I didn’t care because as I slowly put it together I loved it. I mean fashion is all about taking chances. So put on the outfit you love but your not sure if everyone else will. You may be surprised.

I don’t really have many outfit deets.

I purchased these thigh high stockings from walmart.com

My shoes are from shoedazzle.com

Skirt was from Target.com years ago when Peter Pilotto had a line there.
