The season is upon us… it’s finally feeling like fall and winter is tapping on the door. One of the best and comfy pieces you should have for your fall/winter wardrobe are sweaters. Lots and lots of sweaters. I have complied a small list of what I think are must have sweaters. You can find them all at Shein.com
My first pick is this beautiful Golden sweater with black and white stripes. It is the most casual one of my pics.. You can rock this with some dark demin skinny jeans and riding boots. Find it here.
My next pic is the super adorable red smock sweatshirt. This can be paired with a pencil skirt, straight leg pants and/or skinny leg jeans. you can find it Find it here.
Now we all now I am not a big fan of pink, but when i saw this sweater i was in love, it also comes in4 other colors. It is so girly and cute. I would pair this with a leather mini or pencil skirt. You can find it Here
My next choice is this seemly simple style sweater with a twist. The bow on the front of this sweater gives it that extra push to set it apart from a simple sweater. Find it Here
Last but definitely not least this area fur and blog sweater…. I mean, need I say more? This swearer has my name written cllllll over it. you can find it Here

What does date night mean to you? For some ( including me) date night is a romantic night out with their sweetie. This can be a nice dinner and a fancy restaurant, a drink ( or two or three) at a bar you don’t usually visit, a lounge, or even a movie.
Some date night are spent with the family, you, your sweetie and the children may go out to do something that satisfies everyone ( well maybe not everyone, but almost everyone).(Stephanie @stephaniegivesyoulife)
What makes date night different from any other day/night you spend time with your loved ones? For me date night is about spending that quality time disconnected from everyone else and connected to my significant other. For some the same rules apply but with more than their significant other but with their family.
Your attire will be dictated by where you go. Sometimes you want to get all dolled up to go to nice dinner or lounge. Other times you dress down to go bowling or to catch a movie.
I believe date night ( specifically with your significant other) is extremely important. We live in an age where people are so connect to their phones that they do not get the opportunity to connect with their person. For me 2 times a months is the minimum. Do you have a date night? What are your favorite things to do for date night?(Robin @robinavidor)
Some ladies and I decided to come together and show off our date night looks. I’ve added everyone’s Instagram handle incase you want to see more of their wonderful looks.
It’s been a year since I’ve packed up a few things and moved out here to Georgia. If I say life was great I would not be speaking the truth. Transitioning from one state to another is not the easiest thing. Feeling the disconnect from the life one has lived for their entire life is a constant feeling, at least it has been for me so far.
Don’t get me wrong. I love Georgia and have no plans of moving back to New York, but change is very difficult. The area I live in (Lawrenceville) is different, different culture, different lifestyle, just different. It’s not a good or bad different, just a different to get accustomed to.
Making friends, finding a job, becoming acquainted it is all a work in progress. I miss my set of Friends. Making good friends is hard to do as I mentioned in a previous blog post Here. There are times i feel nostalgia when thinking about New York and I begin to miss simply hanging out with friends.
Finding solid ground as far as work has been a challenge for me. As much as I love what I do I think I will have to take my self back in the public school system. I am a preschool teacher and it is different ( to say the least) out here in my experience.
All in all if you’re anything like me. Change is hard. As hard as it is, making this move was one of the best decisions I have made and although it is indeed hard it was necessary and I do not regret it.

As you may know I have a thing for shoes. I am slightly obsessed with them. Well here is a few of my fall picks from one of my favorite online shoe stores. These are my wish list picks. You will see a pattern, this color has caught my eye for the season… I’m… OBSESSED!
First we have the lovely Analy Here .Next we haveSonia you can find her Here. Then we have Ayla Find her here .We also have Cathleen, Here she is.
Finally we have Lilyana Here she is. Finally we have Lilyana Here she is.
My selection has a variety. I am a lover of heels so of course I have more of those on my wish list than anything else. Flats are a must these days. Being a preschool teacher practical shoes are important. Practical does not mean boring which is why my 2 picks for flats have a little spunk to it.
Recently I did a collaboration on brunch fashion. You can check those looks out Here. I was super excited to do this collaboration for 2 reasons: fashion and brunch. I mean who doesn’t like brunch? The person who came up with brunch needs to be hugged and kissed. I love this social gathering that includes that of mimosas. When you add fashion to the mix it just makes it so much better.
When I lived in NYC I did a monthly brunch with a group of my friends. It was themed related. Every month a different person would pick the theme and brunch spot. It was always great to come up with ideas and to participate in the monthly themes. As fun as that was my favorite part was to catch up with my girls and chat it up… also the mimosas. lol.
Here is my brunch look:
Skirt and shirt: Here and Here (both currently on sale).
My look was basic black look. I wanted to add some “fun” to it so I added these polka dot bobby socks and stripped pumps. I love pumps and socks. I love mixing prints, so thing just brought two of the things I love together.
Fall is here , What better way to celebrate my favorite season than to do it with fashion. I’ve teamed up with a few ladies to showcase our similar and different ways of being fashionable for the fall. Fall for me is all about layers, I love layers, you can build up and break it down as the day goes on.
The thing I love about fashion is that we can interpret it in the way we think, feel and enjoy. I am far from an artist, but fashion is my way of showing my artistic eye.Sometimes I enjoy the basics and sometimes I can be a bit over the top. I also love that people are at time brought together by the things they they love and enjoy.
Here are the ladies, their handles and their blogs.

If you know me you know I hate matching. As crazy as that sounds that’s so who I am. This is the phase that I am in. I remember a time in my life that I wore only black, then that time I had to match EVERYTHING down to the stitching. It was crazy… I think evolving is a part of life and a part of fashion. My all black phase had s meaning, it was a dark and not so confident phase for me. The Matching everything phase was about me controlling things and being “perfect”. My next phase of fashion… wearing what I want, how I want, when I want was more of a liberation mixing prints and colors was a way of me saying” I don’t care what y’all think, I’m going to do me”…
Ok now to the topic at hand, when I received this ribbed green dress I tried on many pairs of shoes in my closet none seemed to pair well with it. I picked these up, shrugged my shoulders and tried them on. They paired pretty good so I went for it. While I dislike being matchy- matchy there are occasions where it just simply works out best.
I love the fit of this dress. I’m wearing a small but I could gone down a size. Get this dress From here. The booties are from Here
This term sometime rattles people… those who are not black… “well aren’t we all beautiful?” Is the question that comes next. This question annoys me because… when has blackness been celebrated? And please don’t bring up Ms. Berry.
Yes, beauty comes in all shades. I see beauty all around me… but let’s be honest. When you saw “beauty” on TV, in the movies, and in magazines it was rare is was someone of color. Which lead many to believe, black isn’t as beautiful.
If it makes you uncomfortable for a black women to celebrate her beautiful and that of her fellow black beauties you really should attempt to figure out why, especially since we had the most amazing and beautiful First Lady and she was talked about like a dog, yet someone who has a face full of work done is deemed as “stunning”. It’s amazing to me how things such as this can be over looked, ignored , and/or excused.
If my appreciation of the beauty of black, weather it be my black and others black offend you… I give no apology.
Check out outfit details below.
Outfit deets: top Similar one here. Purse Here, jeans This is where I got them from. They have a big selection for a great price.
I have a love hate relationship with high waist jeans. It’s hit or miss sometimes. These jeans right here from Shoedazzle are amazing! Unfortunately they no longer have them but they do have ones similar. I paired them with These yellow heels from @justfab.com and they paired perfect.
I purchased this grey onsie while I was in Cali last year, I wore it for the first time… Here is a similar one. As for my jacket it is one of my favorite and was apart of my boutique about 2 years ago.
Some days you wake up, throw on some makeup, toss your hair, put on some clothing, look in the mirror and completely love yourself… this was one of those days for me. Everything seem to have fallen into place just how I wanted it.
